Key Classic Morgan Show May 10th

KeyClassicOn May 10th, 2012 Blanche Dilleshaw, Gadget, Carbon and I all went up to Monroe Washington for the annual Key Classic Benefit Morgan Horse Show. I want to give a big thank you to Renee Cairns and all the friendly folks that supported Western Dressage by adding  an Open Western Dressage class to show all breeds.

All and all we had a good show. Carbon's best run was the first run. For some reason we were not in our game. Maybe it was because this was our first big rated show and there were lots of nice Morgans to play with. We did pick up an unexpected 1st place in class 15 with the high points of the day. Too bad the USEF basic class did not count toward the high point award.

During the mid day break, Blanche and I rode a fun little musical freestyle "Pas de Deux". I think the audience liked it, but we had fun and that is all that matters.

The nice thing about this show was that I found something I need to fix on Carbon. So back to the shop to work and refine the machine.
